LEAP

Leading Edge Active Parents (LEAP)

Greetings parents! One of the building blocks of the Leading Edge Academy is parent involvement. A great way for you to find out how and what opportunities are available is to be involved in LEAP. LEAP is a parent support network that meets monthly. After a short general meeting, parents meet in different groups to plan and prepare for upcoming school events. You can also earn parent hours. Please come and join the fun. We need your help!

LEAP meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the multipurpose room unless otherwise stated in the Charter Chat monthly newsletter.  Monica Anderson is the LEAP Coordinator and can be contacted at monica.anderson@doj.ca.gov.

LEAP Meetings give you the chance to:

  • Meet with your child's class manager (see list of managers below)
  • Plan and develop school year events
  • Ask questions about the program
  • Talk to your child’s class manager
  • Find out about fundraising opportunities
  • Find out who to contact on pertinent issues
  • Get the latest updates of goings-on in
  • Earn parent hours for attending meetings
  • Receive information on other education opportunities for LE students; presentations for our local High Schools
  • Meet other Charter parents
