This mandatory project allows all students at Leading Edge Academy to explore and showcase a science topic of their choice.  Deadlines will be assigned throughout the year.  Look for information to come home in mid-fall.  We need parent volunteers to help us judge projects using a rubric, set up, hand out ribbons, etc.  Please sign up with our parent manager at a LEAP meeting or email Ms. Darwazeh/Mrs. Bibayoff if you'd like to help with this exciting event!  

Due Dates:

• Topic, Partner, Parent Signature, Question, Research, Hypothesis, Materials, Procedure/Methods- December 12
• Typed Rough Draft of Lab Report- January 25
• Final Draft of Lab Report and Speech- February 10
• Science Fair Day! (Display Board Due)- February 16 (Dress to impress the judges!)
  • Judging will take place during the school day.
  • Fair will be open for families and friends at 6:00 pm and awards will be presented at 6:30.

Want to take your project to the next level and earn extra credit? You can participate in the Sacramento Regional Science and Engineering Fair at Rosemont High School on March 23-24, 2012.  Applications are lengthy and due Monday, February 13th. See Ms. Darwazeh or Mrs. Bibayoff if you have questions or want to participate.
