Work Experience:
Hello! My name is Jennifer Music and this is my 11th year of teaching Technology in the Leading Edge Program. I began my career in education by teaching adults computer applications for a private computer training company. Three years later I moved to the elementary level and taught 4th grade for two years. My transition from elementary school to middle school has been a pleasurable one. Not only do my students continue to impress me with their technology skills but they also keep me young at heart!
I have a passion for teaching technology and continually strive to find new ways to enrich and improve my curriculum. In doing so, I also teach evening computer classes at American River College. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and classroom experiences at both levels... middle school and at the adult level.
Education:
I graduated from Chico State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Merchandising and a Master of Science Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have a Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential with supplemental authorizations in English as a Second Language, Business and Home Economics.
Background and Interests:
My childhood memories are of camping and water-skiing with my family and friends. And, as an adult, I continue to have a passion for the outdoors. In my spare time you may find me running along the American River Bike Trail, snowshoeing in the Sierras, hiking along the coast or traveling around the world!
