I am fortunate in having had the privilege of working at Natomas Charter School since its second year in operation. I started my career in the Leading Edge Program as the seventh and eighth grade science teacher. As part of a faculty of seven with only eighty students, Natomas Charter began to grow. It has been rewarding to be part of a staff that together, with parents and the community, has worked to create the four unique programs that are now part of Charter.
Like many Sacramentans, I am a CSUS alumnus. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, teaching credentials in English, Science, and Multiple Subjects, a Master of Arts in Education and an Administrative Services Credential, all from our Hometown University. I have been actively involved in public education for the last twenty-six years, not only as a teacher and administrator, but also as a parent volunteer. I have a husband, three children, a cat and a dog that keep me busy when I’m not at work.
As the Leading Edge Program Coordinator, I feel lucky to be able to work with a staff that is caring and supportive, and gives so generously of their time to help students succeed. I enjoy spending time with parents and students, facilitating a strong school to home partnership. I am confident that together we can provide an extraordinary place for children to learn and grow. <!-- PAGE CONTENT END -->
