We are extremely excited to honor the living legacy of Ms. Ruby Bridges and take part in this year’s Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day. Her courageous walk into William Frantz Elementary School on November 14, 1960—65 years ago—remains a powerful reminder of bravery, resilience, and the importance of standing for equity and justice.

However, due to the rainy weather we are currently experiencing, we will be adjusting our celebration plans.

Updated Celebration Details

• Date: Friday, November 14th

• New Time: 7:30 AM

• New Location: Natomas Charter School Amphitheatre
  4600 Blackrock Dr., Sacramento, CA 95835

Instead of walking from Natomas Park Elementary, we will gather here on campus in the amphitheatre for a warm and meaningful community celebration. We will have music, giveaway items, and hot chocolate as we come together to honor Ms. Ruby Bridges and reflect on the impact of her historic steps at just 6 years old.

Please remember to dress warmly, as we will still be outside.
